OPENING & CLOSING DUTIES
Studio Opening Duties
Use the lockbox to get the studio key at each location. passcodes given to you by management upon hire and completion of internship program
Place the key back in the lockbox and make sure it is securely locked again after unlocking the studio
Opening instructors should arrive a minimum of 20 minutes prior to the start of class. This will give them time to set up the class in coordination with the day’s workout. Look at the workout the night before and have an idea for the layout of the class in your mind before setting up in the morning.
Turn on all of the lights.
use apple tv to open flickr and set the TV’s to reflect the day’s workout.
flickr operating instructions:
open flickr > click your flickr > click albums > click this month’s albums > scroll to the workout slide for that day > select it and ensure its on each screen
checking clients into class expectations
instructors are to stand at the door and greet clients as they enter the studio and ensure they get checked in accordingly
Waitlist expectations
You are require to manage your class and waitlists. at times, popular classes fill up quickly and generate a waitlist of clients for the class. You have the option to add clients off the waitlist and go over the general cap of the class. to do this, simply add the client into the class roster. you must be able to ACCOMMODATE them into your class and that day’s program. Please check the programming to see if your class can ACCOMMODATE more than the general cap.
setting up your Music for class
after opening the studio, the instructor should connect their phone to the stereo Bluetooth to start their playlist.
hit the button blinking ‘AUX’ until it says ‘BLUE’, then turn on bluetooth on your phone.
Choose to the option that says “BLUETOOTH” to connect your phone to the stereo.
Adjust the volume of the music using your phone only. DO not touch any of the knobs or markers on the stereo, those are preset to be where we want them.
create a badass playlist that will motivate the class and also motivate you. Make sure your playlist is downloaded prior to getting to the studio in case there is an issue with the wifi.
studio Closing duties
if closing after the 8:30a or 11:30a class:
organize equipment, have class set up Very neat and organized
turn off the stereo
Place batteries from headset into recharging station
make sure everyone is out of the locker rooms before leaving
turn all lights off including locker rooms
Lock the door using the key in the lockbox then place the key back in the lockbox and make sure it is securely locked again.
if closing for the day:
put all equipment away after class in it’s designated spot.
