internship program step 2: TIMELINE OVERVIEW


our internship is designed with intent, SPECIFICALLY created to ensure you receive the first hand experience and DEVELOPMENT to be an effective trainer.

Completion of the program is expected in 3 months. While the program is structure, you are ultimately in charge of managing your time, and your internship timeline. Our online program allows you the flexibility to move at your own pace yet staying on time.

Block 1 - Weeks 1 through 3

BLOCK 1 IS DESIGNED FOR INTERN TO GAIN FULL UNDERSTANDING OF:

  • THE SWEAT CULTURE

  • WEEKLY WORKOUT STRUCTURE

  • WORKOUT FORMATS

  • SWEAT’S OPERATIONAL ORGANIZATION

  • DAILY WORKOUT ROUTINE AS AN INTERN

  • MOVEMENT STANDARDS & ARTICULATION

  • MAKING THE OVERALL SWEAT EXPERIENCE

  • BUILDING MOTIVATIONAL ENDURANCE


Block 2 - Weeks 4 through 6

THE GOAL OF BLOCK 2 IS FOR THE INTERN TO SHADOW CLASSES WITH A SWEAT TRAINER TO DEVELOP SKILL SETS FOR LEARNING MOVEMENT STANDARDS, LEADING WARM UPS, MOTIVATING INDIVIDUALS, AND GAINING KNOWLEDGE AND CONFIDENCE.

IN THIS BLOCK YOU WILL

  • SHADOW 10 CLASSES WITH AS MANY TRAINERS POSSIBLE

  • LEARN CLASS INTRODUCTION BEST PRACTICES

  • LEARN PROGRAMMING AND MOVEMENT STANDARDS

  • OBSERVE HOW EACH TRAINER ORGANIZES AND STRUCTURES

  • WORK IN MIC OPERATIONS AND PRACTICE WITH LEADING CLASS WARM UPS


block 3 - weeks 7 through 9

THE GOAL OF BLOCK 3 IS TO BRING CONSISTENCY TO EACH CLASS THE INTERN IS SHADOWING, TO BUILD ON COACHING SKILLS, TO BUILD ENGAGEMENT WITH CLIENTS AND COMMUNITY.

  • INTERN TO SHADOW 10 CLASSES WHILE WORKING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A TRAINER TO LAYER IN MICROPHONE TIME IN CLASS.

  • INTERN TO LEAD WARM UPS AND WILL NOW CREATE THE WARM UP FOR EACH CLASSES THEY SHADOW.

  • INTERN TO DEMONSTRATE WORKOUT OVERVIEW AND ARTICULATE MOVEMENT STANDARDS ON THE MICROPHONE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A TRAINER IN THEIR SHADOWING CLASSES.

  • INTERN CONTINUES TO DEMONSTRATE CLASS INTROS, WORKS IN MICROPHONE TIME THROUGHOUT SHADOWING CLASSES, AND COMPLETES COOL DOWN STRETCHES.

  • INTERN CONTINUES TO TAKE AS MANY SWEAT CLASSES AS POSSIBLE OUTSIDE THEIR SHADOWING SCHEDULE.


block 4 - weeks 10 and 11

THE GOAL OF BLOCK 4 IS FOR THE INTERN TO START LEADING CLASSES FROM START TO FINISH WITH THE SUPERVISION OF TRAINER.

  • INTERN HAS DEVELOPED A CONSISTENT SCHEDULE OF SHADOWING / COACHING SWEAT CLASSES AND IS BUILDING A RAPPORT WITH CLIENTS.

  • INTERN HAS CREATED A DIRECT LINE OF CONTACT WITH AT LEAST ONE OF SWEAT’S TRAINERS FOR QUESTIONS PERTAINING TO MOVEMENTS AND SHADOWING.


block 5 - week 12

THE GOAL OF BLOCK 5 IS FOR YOU TO LEARN:

  • THIS IS A COMPLETE SEGMENT ON PLANNING, ORGANIZING, AND EXECUTING CLASSES

  • HOW TO PREPARE FOR CLASSES

  • HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR CLASS FOR EACH WORKOUT AT EVERY STUDIO

  • HOW TO ORGANIZE FOR THE FLOW OF EACH WORKOUT

  • HOW TO STAGGER MEMBERS FOR AN ORGANIZED WORKOUT

  • PROPER “ETIQUETTE” IN EXECUTING CLASSES

  • How and what timers can be used in your classes


block 6 - week 12

The goal of block 6 is for you to learn

  • Full operations of being a trainer and executing the best client experience

  • Operations of checking clients in for each class

  • Navigation of client management software

  • POS tendering overview and training

  • Opening & closing duties
